The next engine will also have similar output and also would be of 1.3L but what will set it apart will be it’s surprisingly high output of 86 mpg. Other than that this unit will also have a higher torque of 114 lb-ft. Additionally, there is possibility of the availability of a hybrid variant whose collective output along with it electric unit will be around 150 horsepower. All of these engines will be combined with a continuously variable transmission unit and will provide a better mileage which will range around 41 mpg for the normal variant. The transmission will be a six speed one and be available in both automatic and manual drive options.
2017 Honda Fit – Competition, Cost and Availability
The 2017 Honda Fit is a hatchback of its kind but isn’t the only one in its segment. Cars like Mazda 2, Chevy Sonic, Toyota Yaris and Ford Fiesta are vehicles that could provide it some competition but whether all of them will be able to match up to its standards yet is not known. It has also been priced very cleverly and reasonably which ranges between $16k to $21k. This certainly gives this vehicle an edge over its contemporaries. Little has been known about the exact release date yet but this Honda Fit is expected to hit the showrooms by the end of this year i.e. the fourth quarter of 2016.
